Edna’s Obituary Edna Winifred Tyers Caro, age 99, died peacefully the morning of June 17, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Upper Providence for the past 30 years. Born in Philadelphia in 1920, Edna was raised in Clifton Heights. She was a longtime resident of the Clifton Heights/Aldan area before moving to Upper Providence. After graduating from high school Edna furthered her studies in business school and soon began her career as a bookkeeper. She worked for various companies including HB Electric and H&H Manufacturing. Always self-reliant, Edna was proud to continue working until she was 95 years old. Edna was an avid reader and volunteered her time with Main Line Animal Rescue. She adored animals, especially cats and dogs, and was recently predeceased by her loving cat, Tiger, who held a very special place in her heart. Edna is survived by her daughter, Sheila Firor of Upper Providence, and her granddaughter, Shannon Morris (Sean). Her funeral ceremony will be Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home. Friends and family may attend a visitation from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
