Jeanette’s Obituary Jeanette C. Gerhart, 82 of Telford, died Thursday, June 13, 2019. She was the wife of Richard L. Gerhart. Born March 20, 1937 in Sellersville, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Myrtle (Crouthamel) Gerhart. Surrounded by family and holding the hand of her best friend and husband of 63 years as he whispered words of love, our mother passed peaceful at home with one final sigh. In that moment she stepped out of the physical body that had become a burden and walked into the presence of the Savior she followed since first finding inspiration in the teachings of Pastor Seaman as a youth at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. An avid student of the Bible, she later inspired many others to follow Christ through decades of Christian ministry. After graduating as valedictorian of her high school class in 1955, she deferred her initial plan to become a nurse in order to raise six children. But she later returned to her interest in healthcare to work as an intensive care unit cardiac monitor technician once her nest emptied of little hatchlings. It was those children, though, along with her husband, that represented her true passion. Her family occupied most of her time and energy throughout her adult life. And the family that she wove together with love, despite many challenges and trials along the way, remains committed to one another today, and following her passions of Christian ministry and medicine among their various pursuits. It can truly be said of my Mom, “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” (Proverbs 31:28) And the praises continue beyond her husband and children, arising from dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A beautiful life full of love and faith and family to the very last breath. A funeral service will be at 11 AM on Friday, June 21 at Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, 171 Church Rd, Telford, 18969, where a viewing will be held from 10-10:45 AM.
