Doris’ Obituary Doris C. Davis, of Hillsdale, LA, journeyed to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2019. 90 years young, Doris was born in Kentwood, LA on February 2, 1929. She loved her Lord, her family, her grandson and the church family she worshiped with at Hillsdale Baptist Church, where she was a long time member. Doris retired from St. Helena Hospital after 30 years of service. She enjoyed reading, watching tennis, and growing her tomato plants every spring and fall. She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws, Sandra Chapman and husband, Steve and Melanie Morgan and husband, Alan; one grandson, Davis Chapman and wife, Carly; and numerous friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Russell “Bean” Davis. Services will be held at Hillsdale Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Interment will be at Roberts Cemetery, Highway 441, Hillsdale, LA. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Hillsdale Baptist Church or Roberts Cemetery.
