Bonita Rae “Bonnie” Lebo, 68, of Grundy Center, Iowa, formerly of Grand Island, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019. Memorial service and celebration of Bonnie’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Island City Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family will be an hour prior the service at the funeral home. Bonnie was born January 10, 1951 in Grand Island, the daughter of Orville and Eleanor (West) Snyder. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High School, class of 1969. Bonnie then received her LPN from Kearney State College. Nursing was her passion, and she received her RN in 1991, a graduate of the first graduating class in the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Central Community College. Over the course of her career she was employed by St. Francis Medical Center and Mary Lanning Hospital, retiring in 2011. Bonnie married Micheal Phillips, the father of her children in 1971. She later married Philip Lebo on October 3, 2011. She and Philip made their home in Grundy Center, Iowa. Bonnie loved her Lord and her strong faith gave her direction. She spoke of heaven and how she looked forward to reuniting with her parents someday. Bonnie enjoyed flower gardening, fishing and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball with Philip. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities. Those who will cherish her memory include her husband, Philip Lebo of Grundy Center; and daughters, Tricia (Michael) Graham of Omaha and their children, Anderson and Joseph and Jamie (Jared) Jensen of Grand Island and their children, Whitney and Wyatt. She is also survived by Philip’s children, Jamie (Kurt) Beyer and their children, Ally and Evan and Andy (Ann) Lebo and their children, Ella, Lucy and Pete; several aunts, uncles and cousins and her furry four-legged pet, Snickers. Those to welcome her into heaven were her parents and beloved sister and friend, Sherry Skinner. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
