Obituary for William S. Nakonechny William S. Nakonechny, 77, of Toms River passed away Sunday April 21, 2019 at his home. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Colonia, NJ for several years before moving to Toms River 3 years ago. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was the owner and operator of J&J TV. William enjoyed participating in his bowling league and was an avid lover of boating. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary (Chawluk), and his beloved son William K. Surviving are his loving wife Diane (Rech), his son Tom (Tina) of Scotch Plains, NJ, his daughter Linda (Eric) Funk of Belford, NJ, a brother John of Kingston, Il, and 6 grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday April 25, 2019 from 4 to 8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his name be made to the Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey, caregivervolunteers.org/.
