William Ralph Mick March 11 1929 April 7 2019 (age 90)

William Ralph Mick, 90 of Knottsville passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born March 11, 1929, in Weston, WV, a son of the late Ralph C. and Mary Harper Mick. He was preceded in death by his wife Violet B. Mick, July 14, 2011. Bill was a Veteran of the US Navy, and retired with twenty two years of services. He worked for the B&O Railroad and retired as a Supervisor for Pratt & Whitney. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and VFW #Post 3081. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He is survived by two sisters, Susan F. Frye, Albemarle, NC, and Pamela L. Mick, Grafton; one brother, John R. Mick, Grafton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Judith E. Skeen, Jean Anderson, and Lucille Ward; one brother, Rev. C. Franklin Mick. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., on Thursday, April 11, 2019 2-8 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be conducted Friday, April 12, 2019 at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Father Binu Sebastian as celebrant. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post # 12, Central WV DAV Chapter 24 and their auxiliaries, and the Navy Honor Guard.
