William’s Obituary William H. Pruett, age 74 of the Mound community, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 in Temple. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at White Mound Baptist Church, with Pastor Bruce Cox officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery. William was born on June 27, 1944 in the Mound community. He grew up and attended school in Mound, graduating from Flat High School in 1962. He served in the Texas Army National Guard. He worked for Occidental Chemical for 23 years in Dallas and then for Tamko Building Products until his retirement in 2008. He and his wife Pat, moved back to Mound in 2009. He was an avid gun collector. He was a former member of the Jaycees. He grew up in the White Mound Baptist Church, where he was baptized and was a member of Wilmer Church of Christ in Wilmer, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Pat Pruett; sons, Joseph Ray (JR) Pruett and wife, Karen, Lyle Pruett, Robert Cliver; daughter, Meredith Cockburn and husband, Jason; sister, Juanita Bodden; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
