William George Bill Noonan III April 18 1942 April 03 2018

William’s Obituary William George “Bill” Noonan, III, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, Louisiana with his family at his side. Bill was born on April 18, 1942, in Houston, Texas to Mary Louise Funke Noonan and William George Noonan, Jr. Bill graduated from Marian High School in Houston, Texas in 1960. He then graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration from Lamar State College of Technology in Beaumont, Texas, in 1965. He served in the United States Air Force and was a retired insurance executive for many years. He had lived in Blanco for the last 20 years and was a proud member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. Bill who was also known as “Blanco Bill”, loved to ride horses and take care of his ranch; he loved to travel, going with his family to Germany, Scotland, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. In his younger years, he loved taking his kids camping, and grandkids to Disneyworld. He adored his dogs who accompanied him in taking care of his ranch and riding horses. Bill was a devout catholic and loved his church dearly, often helping with fundraisers, financials and building things which he was terrible at but loved doing anyway. Prior to settling in Blanco, Bill lived in Louisiana for about 20 years, where he developed his beloved morning habit of a great cup of coffee, preferably a cappuccino! He loved to sit and visit with friends and family more than just about anything else in the world, almost as much as a good nap! He was thoughtful, kindhearted, and generous to a fault. His absence will be felt strongly in his family and his community. Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marian Elaine Smith of Blanco; daughter, Cindy Turner and her husband Steve of Folsom, Louisiana; son, William Craig Noonan of Houston, Texas; siblings, Barbara and Bob Seales of Cedar Park, Texas, Bonnie Bacon of Willis, Texas, Frank Culberson of Sparks, Nevada, Ginger and Joe Snow of Willis, Texas, Janie Baugh of Willis, Texas, Joe and Melinda Noonan of Burnet, Texas, Barry and Stephanie Noonan of Austin, Texas and Bobby and Kim Noonan of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Micah Turner and his wife Karah, Ethan Turner and Sophia Turner all of Covington, Louisiana, and former wife Vickie Hunt of Covington, La as well as numerous friends and family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Ken Bacon and Art Baugh. Bill was also preceded by his sister, Mary Louise Noonan who died at child birth. A visitation will take place from 5 to 7:00p.m. Monday, April 8, 2019, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Blanco with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Blanco with burial to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Twin Sisters, Texas.
