Knoxville, Tennessee Virginia Lee Williams, 83, passed away April 22, 2019 at Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living in Knoxville, TN, after an extended illness. She was born in Arno, VA. She lived in Derby, VA, for over 60 year before moving to Lenoir City, TN, in 2001 to be closer to her daughter. She enjoyed supporting the UT Vols, watching Hallmark movies, and decorating year-round for the holidays. Virginia made friends everywhere she went that kept her rooms full of visitors and her heart full of love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ray Williams; her son, “Little” Eddie Ray Williams, Jr.; parents, Dewitt and Ruby Smith; and twin brother, Buddy Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Hollyfield; grandson, Jerod Ra’Del Hollyfield; son-in-law, Jerry Hollyfield; sisters, Imma Light and Tressia Smith; brother, Ronnie Smith, and his wife, Shirley; brother, Roger Smith, and his wife, Brenda; sister-in-law, Sandy Smith, and a host of extended family and good friends. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Roy A. Green Funeral Home, Appalachia, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Rose and Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. Procession will follow to Powell Valley Memorial Gardens for the graveside service.
