VIRGINIA L. “GINNY” CARNER, age 81, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 10:45 a.m. at her son’s home. She was born on September 1, 1937 in Fayette County to John and Ethyl Long Forsha. Virginia had worked at Kmart in Washington CH for many years. She enjoyed watching game shows, walking, cooking, and eating at Rancher’s Roast Beef. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Dick Hollar; son, Jeff Hollar; and five siblings. Survivors include her children, Steve (Betty) Smith, William “Bill” Hollar and his special friend, Brenda, Ronald E. Hollar and his fiancé, Brenda McKenzie; ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; siblings, Ronnie (Robin) Forsha, Judy Williams, Elizabeth Souther, Sharon (Joe) Gershback, David Forsha, and Larry Forsha, and her special friend, Martin Smith. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
