Thomas’ Obituary POLAND – Thomas P. Cardiello, 79, a resident of the UCP Poland IRA, died on January 25, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. Thomas was born on May 26, 1939 in Manhattan and was raised by William and Gertrude Ennis. He was one of the first residents to move into the newly built Poland IRA in 1989. Tom attended Barneveld Day Habilitation for many years and retired from the program in 2007. His favorite beverage was coffee and restaurant of choice was Red Lobster. Thomas was fond of Chevy trucks and watching movies. He also found enjoyment in watching the maintenance men work on repairs at his Poland IRA home. Survivors include a brother, George LaRose of Afton; a sister, Lynn Leaman of Lancaster, PA; and his extended loving family at Upstate Cerebral Palsy, especially his friends and staff at the Poland IRA. Funeral services will be held at the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Calling hours are prior to the funeral from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Spring interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Poland.
