Theresa D. Rigo, age 87, Ashtabula Twp., died early Friday morning at her residence. She was born July 20, 1931 in Starford, PA, the daughter of Andrew & Mary (Cichoski) Yaros and has resided in the Ashtabula area all of her life. Mrs. Rigo was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Joseph Church. Her grandson, Christopher Davis brought great joy to her life. Her dog, Lacey was always at her side. She enjoyed outdoor concerts and community events, never missing any of her grandson’s involvements at the Conneaut Arts Center. Survivors include five children, Edward Rigo in Virginia, Diane Belnap, Sandra (Bill) Holzinger & Kathleen (Bob) Copeland, all of Ashtabula and JoAnn (Dennis) Varee of N. Kingsville; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a sister, Agnes Sullivan in Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward in 1993 and sisters and brothers. A private funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Joseph Church in Ashtabula, with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
