Obituary Tevis Owen Rose of Falls Church, VA, formerly of Tacoma, WA, widow of Capt. Albert E. Rose, Jr. USN Retired, died on March 4, 2019. She was born in Versailles, Kentucky on November 13, 1922. She was graduated from Transylvania University where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Tevis was a member of Oberlin Congregational Church, Oakbrook Golf and Country Club, and for 21 years, an American Red Cross Volunteer at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA. She was an avid sports fan. She loved Navy football, Kentucky basketball, the Seattle Mariners and played golf weekly until her late 80s. Survivors include sons Capt. David O Rose, USN Retired and wife Debra, of Arlington, VA; Richard A. Rose and wife Julie, of Clearwater, FL; granddaughter Ashley Owen Rose of Washington D.C. and sister Frances Carmody of Frankfort, KY. Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2018 at Versailles Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to your favorite charity.
