Stephanie Hartley Dail, 48, completed her journey home on Sunday, April 28, 2019 to the welcoming words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” She was a warrior and she fought for her life until the last minute. Stephanie was born in Wayne County on October 19, 1970 to Barbara Blevins Hartley of Goldsboro and the late Larry Hartley. She was serving as a deputy clerk with the Wayne County Clerk of Court in Goldsboro. Stephanie enjoyed spending time at the beach and watching her daughter play softball. Above all, she loved spending time with her husband and children. She will be missed. A service to celebrate Stephanie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home. In addition to her mother, Stephanie is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 29 years, Anthony Dail; her children, Kasey Hawks and husband Jeffrey, Wesley Dail and Kelly Dail; brothers, Chris Hartley and wife Kimberly and Daniel Hartley; and sister, Amanda Hartley. She is also survived by a special grand-dog, Luke. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Louise and Jake Hartley and Elmer and Betty Blevins. We would like to give a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the love and care they provided for Stephanie during her final days. Simple words cannot express our gratitude. Also a thank you to the staff and caregivers of SMOC and the 4th floor staff of Wayne Memorial Hospital who cared for Stephanie over these past few months.
