Saundra “Sandy” Sue (Lowe) Yost, 76, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 8:12 PM on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, OH after a brief illness. Saundra was born on November 15, 1942, She was the daughter of the late Roy Wilmoth and Eva Dale (Phillips) Lowe. Saundra worked as a waitress and bartender at DeStefano’s following in the footsteps of her mother. She retired as a bartender from the American Legion Post 45, where she is a member and involved in the Women’s Auxiliary. Many will remember Saundra for the love of her family. In addition to her parents, Saundra was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Yost and three sibilings, James and David Lowe and Sheila Deluca. Saundra is survived by three children, James “Jay D” Mitchell of Florida, Todd Mitchell and his wife, Paula of Bellaire, OH, and Mechelle Yost of Texas, two step children, Michael David Yost and his wife, Victoria of Texas and Tamela “Tammi” Jean Coen and her husband, “Doc” of Mingo Junction, OH, eight grandchildren, Corey Toni, Lyn and John Curtis Mitchell, Megan and Charles Robertson, and Mandi and Eric Tustin, seven great grandchildren, Avery and Riley, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 5:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Minister John Ater, Chaplain at Trinity, officiating. Interment will be held privately at Independence Cemetery, Avella, PA.
