Sandra’s Obituary Proverbs 31:10 (KJV) Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Sandra Ellen Mills, 71, of Stephenson went home to be with the Lord on Monday April 1, 2019 at her home. Born March 3, 1948 at Basin, she was the daughter of the late Arnett and Naomi McKinney. She was a faithful member of the Basin Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to go fishing and hunting, but she especially loved being with her family and friends as they gathered at her home for lots of food and laughter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Step-father, Sampie Quesenberry; Two sisters, Billie and Betty McKinney, and three infant siblings. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Harold D. “Denny” Mills; Three sons, Marvin Mills and wife Cynthia of Princeton, Scott Mills and wife Crystal of Tracy’s Mountain and Alan Mills and wife Catherine of Mullens; Nine grandchildren, Amelia, Allison, Aaron, Annie, Douglas, Morgan, Ryan, Kaitlyn, and Brooke; Two Great-grandchildren, Corbin and Brinleigh and another great-grandchild Hazel Grace due in July, 2019; Three brothers, Rev. Hugh McKinney and wife Avalene of Basin, Larry McKinney and wife Thelma of Norfolk, VA, and Charlie McKinney and wife Dempsey of Pierpoint; One sister Astor Cook of New Richmond. Services to celebrate the life of Sandra will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. from the Basin Freewill Baptist Church in Basin with Evangelist Jerry Vance and Pastor Randy Lusk officiating, with her son Pastor Marvin Mills and her nephew Pastor Charles McKinney, Jr. assisting. Graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the George Shrewsbury Family Cemetery on Barkers Ridge, those wishing to attend the service are requested to meet at the cemetery by service time. Friends may visit with the family today from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
