Russell Glenn “Rusty” Otto, 49, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Born March 22, 1970, he was the son of Karen Sue (Edgar) Otto, and the late Daniel Frederick Otto, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his half-brother, Stewart Otto. Rusty was a truck driver, but was currently working for Beitzel Corporation as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Deer Park Sportsman’s Club, Mt. Top Softball League and a past member of the Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Jane Otto; one son, Nicholas L. Otto, Oakland; one daughter, Hope B. Otto, Oakland; one grandchild, Remington J. Otto; one brother, Terry J. Otto, Sr. and wife, Amy, Morgantown, WV; father-in-law, Philson D. Hinebaugh, Sr., Oakland; mother-in-law, Sue E. Saunders and husband, Mike, Oakland; brother-in-law, Philson D. Hinebaugh II and wife, Gina M., Somerset, PA; and various uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, MD, 21550, on Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Samuel Moon officiating.
