Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Friday, April 12th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Roy, 85 years of age and a resident of Flora, LA, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019, in Natchitoches, LA. He was born on Friday, February 2, 1934, to John Adkin Duraso and Mary Magdalene Cole Duraso. He was a part of a large family including 12 siblings. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. A hard worker and a painter by trade; he was an excellent provider for his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee Gongre Duraso; parents, John and Mary Duraso; and daughter in law, Patricia Duraso. He is survived by his daughter, Vickie Wellbrock and husband Gary of New Iberia, LA; son, Kevin Duraso of Flora, LA; grandchildren, Amy Guillory and husband Scott and Jerry Duraso; as well as great-grandchildren, Brianna and Alex Guillory.
