There will be a visitation for Roger Recker of Morris, Minnesota on Friday, May 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Roger Recker, son of Victor and Marcella (Gaul) Recker, was born on April 6, 1962 in Morris, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at St.Theresia’s Catholic Church in Donnelly. Roger graduated from Morris High School in 1980. Following high school, he attended Alexandria Technical College where he majored in farm equipment and mechanics, graduating in 1982. He was employed through Rail Works from 1987-2019. Roger enjoyed NASCAR racing – especially Dale Earnhardt, the Minnesota Vikings, fishing at Lake Mina near Alexandria, MN, hunting, gardening, creative cooking and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children Dylan and Amber. Roger died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Stevens Community Medical Center. He was 57 years old. He is survived by his son: Dylan (Kayla Hendrickson) Recker of Morris; daughter: Amber (Patrick Egdorf) Recker of Brooklyn Park; brothers: Jim (Jolene) Recker of Wheaton and Alan (Mel) Recker of Donnelly; sister: Ann (Les) Hold of Farwell and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Marcella Recker. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements. Roger’s Memorial Folder
