Roger Lewis July 16 1931 April 16 2019

Roger’s Obituary Roger Lewis passed away on April 16, 2019 in Wilmington, NC. He was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand and raised on a dairy farm. After working five years as a bank officer for the Bank of New Zealand, he came to the U.S. at age 27 to complete his education at Northern Baptist College and McCormick Theological Seminary. He spent several years serving as a Presbyterian Minister before leaving the clergy to work as a fundraiser for the Glenwood School for Boys. He then went on to raise money for other nonprofit organizations. He eventually became an Account Executive for AT&T – where he worked until he retired. He loved reading his Bible. He loved his family, and he loved laughing uproariously at the evening news – especially political news. He is survived by his three children: Keith Lewis and wife Eva, Rachel Lewis Hilburn and husband Duncan, and Nathan Lewis and wife Robin; grandchildren: Evita, Isabel, Sofi, and Logan; sister-in-law Moira Lewis. All three of his siblings, Hugh, Sidney, and Naomi, are deceased. Condolences may be shared at www.andrewsmortuary.com Read More
