Roger A. Stoebner July 16, 1939 – March 28, 2019 Roger A. Stoebner, age 79, of Mitchell, SD died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Avera Queen of Peace ER. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 1, 2019 at Northridge Baptist Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Northridge Baptist Church with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Roger A. Stoebner, son of Eugene and Agnes (Schramm) Stoebner, was born July 16, 1939 in Tripp, SD. He attended school in Tripp and was later employed at Weber Grocery Store in Tripp. Roger served in the SD National Guard Unit in Tripp, SD from October 22, 1956 to October 21, 1963. Roger was united in marriage with LaVonne Triebwasser in March of 1961 in Parkston, SD. The couple made their home in West Bend, WI where, Roger was employed at Gehl Manufacturing. In 1976, the couple moved to Mitchell and Roger was employed at Sears as an installer and later at Owatonna Manufacturing. He later began his own business called Roger’s Home Improvements. In his retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working and repairing cars. Roger especially loved spending time with his grandkids and family. He attended Northridge Baptist Church in Mitchell. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, LaVonne Stoebner, Mitchell, SD; two daughters, Chris (Wayne) Vickers, Mitchell, SD, Jackie (Kent) Cundy, Box Elder, SD; three grandchildren, Austin Vickers, Brittney and Hannah Cundy; two brothers, Joe (Carol) Stoebner, Eden Prairie, MN, Tom (Linda) Stoebner, Harrisburg, SD; five sisters, Donna Arleton Carlsbad, CA, Gloria (Don) Winter, Parkston, SD, Marian (Kermit) Gehring, Parkston, SD, Charlotte (Roy) Gilman, Meadow Vista, CA and Susan (Len) Stulc, Sioux Falls, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth Johnson.
