Obituary of Robert W. Flint, Sr. Mr. Robert W. Flint, Sr., 79, of Third Avenue, Canajoharie, New York, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, with his family by his side. Born on October 21, 1939 in Cherry Valley, NY, he was the son of the late William Floyd Flint and Rachel Bogardus Flint. He was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, Class of 1956 and was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Flint worked for Beech-Nut in Canajoharie, NY. He was a member of St. John’s & St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Canajoharie. Mr. Flint was a founding member of the BPOE Eagles #3846. He enjoyed stock-car races, going out to dinner and spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor. In 1962 at the St. Johnsville Reformed Church, Robert was married to Betty Snell. Mr. Flint is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Flint of Canajoharie, NY; son, Robert Flint, Jr. of Canajoharie, NY; daughter, Robin and Clark Davis of Canajoharie, NY; 6 grandchildren, Ashley and Brett Searles, Andrew and Janelle Davis, Brooke and Jason Mohlmann, Devon Flint, Dalton Flint, Kierra Davis; 6 great-grandchildren, Kaden, Makenna, and Connor Searles, Delia, and Dylan Mohlmann, Lorelai Davis; and his beloved dog, Zoey. The Family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday April 13th from 10:00-11:00 AM, prior to the memorial service at 11:00 AM, at the chapel of Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Contributions in memory of Mr. Robert W. Flint, Sr. may be made to the Canajoharie Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 28, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
