Rita Sanchez,55, of Belton passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at a local hospital. Rita was born on June 17, 1963 to Felix and Elma Rangel in Lubbock. She met the love of her life, Steve Montgomery and they lived happily for over 32 years. Rita enjoyed arts, crafts, crocheting, and would even help her husband when he was tiling by making mosaic designs for clients. She worked as a hair dresser and Barber in Jacksonville, FL and Ft. Hood, TX for most of her life. Rita loved her family very much and she will be dearly missed. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elma Rangel. Rita is survived by her husband, Steve Montgomery of Belton; her father Felix Rangel of Austin; her daughter, Erica Rivera and husband, Louis of Lubbock; her sisters, Rachel Barker and Rhonda Rangel of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren, Louis Rivera, Kris Rivera, Josh Rivera, and Erik Rivera; her great grandchildren, Averee, Maddie, and Zaylee.
