Rickey Eugene Dobbs was born February 14, 1956, to Mr. Lonnie and Jewell Hannah Dobbs, in Etowah County. Rickey received his formal education in the Etowah County school system, and graduated with the class of 1973. On Friday, March 1, 2019, Rickey heard the masters call, and transitioned into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his children, Ricky Whaley, Terri Shuberg; parents, Lonnie and Jewell Dobbs, Sr.; siblings, Frank and Sam. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Darlene; children, Ginnia (Rodney) Gibbs, Kim Dobbs (Thad Rasberry), Keith (Karen) Dobbs, JoJo (Leslie) Dobbs; brother, Travis (Marlene) Dobbs; sister, Faye Whitmore; brother-in-law, Chris (Tonya) Freeman; sisters-in-law, Penny (Bill) Burkett, Michelle (Jimmy) Jones; chosen son, Todd Epps; a special friend, Thomas Sheikh, 29 grandkids, 25 great grandkids, a host of other loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
