Philip Edwin Gillespie March 27 1932 April 25 2019

Philip’s Obituary Philip Gillespie passed away peacefully on Thursday with family at his side. Phil was born in 1932 in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania and lived in several cities across the state prior to moving to New Market Alabama 13 years ago. It is difficult to put into words all that he meant to his family and friends and how much he will be missed. We are comforted knowing that he is no longer in pain and that he is in a much better place. Survivors include his wife Jane, two sons, Neil (Marilee) and Eric; one sister, Carol Dymek (Richard); one brother, Ralph (Carol); five grandchildren, Ryan, Jason, Nicole, Matthew, and Caleb; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death are his parents John (Chip) and Lois Gillespie, brother Tom; sisters Sandra and Patricia. A memorial service will be held at the Locust Grove Baptist Church on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 4:00 PM with the Doctor Robbie White officiating. Internment will be at a later date, determined by the family, at the Romola Cemetery in Pennsylvania. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Locust Grove Church Baptist New Market, Alabama or Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama. Read More
