Paul C. Huey, 79, resident of Eldorado passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Marion. Paul was born March 14, 1940 in Lyons, Indiana to the late Paul Vernon and Mary Mae (Hamilton) Huey. He married the former Betty Jane Stanford who preceded him in death. Paul served in the US Army. Prior to retirement he worked for many years as a lineman for Illinois Power. He was a Free Mason and a public servant. He was a past Khoury League president and coached boys and girls sports. He enjoyed showing and judging horse shows and in his younger years was a bull rider. Paul loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports and he attended as many of their games as he could. He is survived by four children: Cliffie (Jeff) Phelps of Eldorado, Calvin (Kim) Huey of Lake of Egypt, Paula Lowery of Eldorado, Steve Huey and partner Justin Day of Eldorado, five grandchildren: Christine Talkington, Jason (Ashley) Huey, Weston (Kayla) Lowery, Charly (Elliott) Gordon, Kileah Lowery, seven great grandchildren: Isaac, Ezra, Oliver, Calvin, Stryker, Ruger and Paisley, one brother and three sisters.
