Patricia P. Ballenger Hale, age 65, departed this life on March 13, 2019 at UT Medical Center. She was a graduate of Austin East High School, Class of 1971. Patricia was employed at UT Medical Center as a Surgical Technician for many years. As a young woman, she married the love of her life, William Hale, Sr. and to this union two children were born. Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Preceded in death by her daughter, Regina Renee Hale; parents, David Patrick and Naomi Ballenger; brothers, Shaheed (Ballenger) Abdullah and David Ballenger; sisters, Mary Alice Ballenger-Edwards, Bealma Hairston and Josephine Mitchell; in-laws, John and Hattie Hale. Left to cherish her memory: husband, William Hale, Sr.; son, William Hale, Jr.; grandson, Donovan Hale; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hale Anderson and Phyllis Hale Ssekasozi; ; a host of other family and friends to include Benjamin (Rosita) Davis of Woodbridge, VA and Ernestine Harris. Wednesday, March 20, 2019, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with funeral to follow at Greater Bush Grove Baptist Church. Reverend Eugene Carter, Jr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Highland Memorial (Sutherland Avenue) where a white dove release will conclude the service. Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the funeral.
