Obituary for Michael J. Opsasnick Michael J. Opsasnick Michael J. Opsasnick, 89, of The Villages Fl., passed away April 5, 2019, at the Villages Hospital. Michael was born in Dunmore, Pa., son of the late Michael and Anna Opsasnick. He graduated from Dunmore High School and served 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Michael retired in 1992 from the U.S. Post Office after 40+ years of service. He was a member of St. Marks Evangelist Catholic Church in Summerfield Fl. Michael is survived by his wife Dolores of the Villages, Florida, son Michael of Springfield Virginia, brother Eugene and wife Betty, of Dalton, Pa. He is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Michael was preceeded in death by his siblings; Joe, Paul, and Mary. The family would like to thank all the staff at Homewood, Freedom Pointe, for their love and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 15th, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Moscow PA.
