Marion P. Lamotte died at Aspirus Wausau Hospital at the age of 71 on Sunday, April 21, 2019. She was born January 21, 1948, daughter of the late Frank and Hilda (Mickelson) Aragon. Marion was employed as a CNC operator in the Chicago area. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Antigo. Marion was a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, and she loved her culture and heritage. She carried on her traditional heritage through her artwork and crafting. She was skilled at painting in acrylic and oils, charcoal drawing, beadwork, and leatherwork. She also enjoyed making clothing. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa (Daniel) Flak Ross of Merrill 3 sons, Bryan (Karen) Folk of Rohnert Park, CA, Ronnie Folk of Antigo, and John Folk of Chicago, IL; a sister, Kathy Bates; 8 grandchildren, Brittany Folk, Heather Folk, Anthony Folk, Shawn Folk, Crystal Ross, Melanie Endean, Brandon DeBroux, and Jessica Engle; and 3 great grandchildren, Harrison, Adrienne, and Elliott. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Dorsch officiating. In recognition of Marion’s Northern Arapaho heritage, native drummers will also participate. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 Friday at the funeral home.
