Obituary of Marian Smith Santangelo Marian Frances Smith Santangelo, 94, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Guggenheimer Health and Rehab. Center. She was the wife of the late Antonio J. Santangelo. Born August 5, 1924 in Bedford, VA, she was a daughter of the late Charles T. Smith and Edna Pribble Smith. She was a retired custodian with Campbell County School System. She is survived by two daughters, Mary S. Mayberry and her husband, Ronnie, of Lynchburg and Shirley Bove and her husband, Edward of New Jersey; one son, James T. Santangelo, of Evington, VA; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank her caretakers, Sharon Gregory, Nicole Mayberry and Wesley Ward for their dedicated and loving care. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-5 P.M. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with Pastor Freddie Williams officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
