LaVerne Adkins, 68, of Cabot, died Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Baptist Springhill Hospital in Little Rock. She was born May 29, 1950 in Newport to the late David and Goldie (Odom) Elgen. She is survived by her husband of 33 ½ years, Sammy Adkins; sister, Bernice Bostick; daughters, Candice Falls, Myke Holder and Brandy Maroney; grandchildren, Rachael Lee, Amanda McNeil, Christopher Falls, Zachary Falls, Paul Stovall, Samantha Stovall, Gavin Maroney, Ryan Maroney and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jerry, Elwood, and Alvin Elgen; and her daughter, Angela Lynn Phillips. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30 at the Powel l Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
