Kent Lavar Ivie passed away on April 4,2019. He was born on January 24 of 1950, to Dean and Dorothy Ivie, their first child. He was a brother to Craig, Reece, Carolyn, and Brent. He was married to Jane Higley Ivie and had two children (Jennifer and Joshua). He is survived by his parents, brothers and sister, son and daughter, and two granddaughters. Kent graduated from Springville High School and was very active in the FFA. Later, he would spend his time serving in the National Guard, of which he was extremely proud of and grateful for. After that, he would serve his time working at Geneva Steel, prior to its closing, as a brick mason. When it closed, he took time to get his Associate’s Degree at UVU. Following that, Kent spent many years working in different positions at Sam’s Club in Provo. He loved the outdoors, and spent what time he could fishing and hunting. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 8, 2019, at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville.
