Joyce’s Obituary Joyce Britton, 81, of Harrodsburg, wife of Billy Britton died Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center. Born January 12, 1938 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Myrtle Coker Mobley. She was a member of the Bohon Christian Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, was a member of the Cornishville Ruritan Club and volunteered for everything that took place in the Cornishville community including the concession stand for the Cornishville church ballgames. Survivors in addition to her husband include, one son: Ronnie (Margaret) Britton, two daughters: Lisa Herring of Stanford and Kathy (Harry) Peterson of Paris, one sister: Cornell Reynolds of Harrodsburg, six grandchildren: Jason (Amanda) Britton, Matthew (Terri) Britton, Marcus (Jenna) Britton, George (Jennifer) Herring, Eric Herring and Billy Wayne (Heather) Herring and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son: Billy Allen Britton, five brothers: Ernest Mobley, Minor Mobley, Garnett Mobley, Hanley Mobley and Howard Mobley and one sister: Kathleen DeRossett. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Pat Massie officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with George Herring, Billy Wayne Herring, Jason Britton, Matthew Britton, Marcus Britton, Layne Elliott and Eric Herring serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Reynolds, Gene Reynolds, Mike DeRossett, Tony Mobley, David Mobley, Eddie Mobley, Madison Herring, Victoria Wilson, Danny Mobley, Mike Reynolds, Ricky Mobley, Joey Mobley, Keith Britton and Minor Wayne Mobley.
