Johnny Turner Ball, 83, of Bristol, TN passed to his eternal rest with his Lord, Tuesday, April 9, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie Jones and James David Ball and brother, J.D. Ball and wife, Joan. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marsha Anderson Ball; sisters, Virginia Long of Blountville, TN; Bonnie Buchanan and husband, Ray of Bristol, VA; Mary Eades and husband, Billy of Bristol, TN and sister-in-law, Patricia Anderson Moody of Baileyton, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. He was a graduate of Virginia High School, attended the University of Tennessee, and received a B.S. Degree from East Tennessee State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for Bristol Raytheon Co. and retired after 37 yrs. of service. He was an active member and elder of McIver Memorial Presbyterian Church where as a Boy Scout attained the badge of Eagle and Order of the Arrow. He was the treasurer of the Boone Lake Assoc. for 10 years, a member of Raytheon Retiree’s Association, and a member of the Raytheon Bristol Alumni Association. Johnny enjoyed playing golf, bowling, boating, and traveling and in his retirement enjoyed working on Habitat Houses. He will be at rest with the remains of his beloved dog, Mimi, who he faithfully walked each day. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 P.M., Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Glenwood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Robert Tolar, Sr. officiating.
