John H. Elvey 71, of North Tonawanda, Thursday (April 25, 2019) at home. Mr. Elvey was born in Buffalo, New York on September 20, 1947 to Clarence C. Elvey Jr. and Marilyn F. (Stark) Elvey. John was a Veteran of the Marine Corps. who served in Vietnam. John is surved by his sister and brothers Jean A. Daniels, Charles (Linda) Winney, Richard (Catherine) Winney, Robert (Margaret) Winney, and James (Jennifer) Winney, also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. If desired memorials may be made in John’s memory to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. John was the first friend I made when I moved to Buffalo in 1961. We spent a lot of time together in high school and as young adults. I always wondered how his life turned out.
