John’s Obituary John D. Tally unexpectedly passed away on April 10, 2019. John was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. John graduated from Western Harnett High School. He served in the US Army Reserves after high school where he served in Afghanistan as a Military Police. He was a correctional officer at the Harnett County Correctional Institution. John is survived by his parents, Billy and Mary Tally of Spring Lake, NC; sister, Emily Tally-Hardy of Fayetteville, NC; brother, Brian Tally of Fayetteville, NC; sister and brother-in law-Cora and Alan Banks of Owasso, OK; girlfriend, Heather Johnson of Spring Lake, NC; many loving aunts,uncles, cousins and four nephews. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Emily Tally and Jack and Arleine Brown. John loved his family, friends and his four nephews. He was an avid collector of guns and knives. He loved to fish and blow things up. John was the type of man that if you needed him, he was always there for you no matter what.
