Jimmie Mervel Cornelius, “JC”, age 72, of Beaver Lake, MN, died suddenly on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at his home. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva, MN. Rev. Dr. Kristen Venne will officiate. Burial will follow at the Geneva City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Bonnerup Funeral Services in Albert Lea, MN. JC was born on December 1, 1946, in Owatonna, MN to Mervel and Bernice (Clemmensen) Cornelius. He graduated from Blooming Prairie High School and lived as a Freeborn County resident prior to moving to Beaver Lake. On February 20, 1965, Jimmie married Nancy Worrell in Geneva. He owned and operated Geneva Standard Station and also owned a Snapper Lawn Mower franchise. JC retired from Airgas as an Account Manager/Salesman. JC was a member of Community Lutheran Church in Geneva, a proud member of AA and the American Legion. He loved going for rides on his Harley Davidson and his pontoon boat. JC also loved playing cards, reading, and cleaning JC is survived by his children, Tad (Bunny) Cornelius and Cheryl (Todd Ide) Cornelius; his grandson, Jordan Cornelius; his special friend, Kay Goodmanson; and many nieces and nephews. JC was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy, and one sister. Harley Davidson attire is welcome at the service.
