Jimmie G. Daugherty, 78, of Madisonville, KY passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY. He was born April 3, 1941 in Calhoun, KY to the late James William Daugherty and Margaret Helen Chapman. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Daugherty. Mr. Daugherty was a self employed oil field worker and owner of Daugherty Trucking and Weal Drilling Company. Jimmie enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, but most of all loved his Grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna Jean Daugherty of Madisonville; one Daughter Nancy (Roger) Nichols of Evansville, IN; one son, Henry (Tonya) Daugherty of Madisonville; one sister, Roxana Juenger of Carmi, IL; four grandchildren Kara (Aric) Payne, Britta (Cameron) Hayes, Brooke Daugherty, and Kylie Daugherty; four great grandchildren, Aubri Payne, Jackson Payne, Miles Hayes and Parker Hayes and a sister-in-law, Janice Daugherty. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Hix officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and after 11:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Aric Payne, Cameron Hayes, Jimmy Wolfe, Jonathan Gautreau, Jacob Gautreau, William Totty, Rick Conner and Tod Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Peyton, Bob Florida, George Allard, Jo England, Al Porter, Jackson Payne, Miles Hayes and Parker Hayes.
