Bluefield, WV- Janie Ruth Taylor, 87, of Bluefield, WV, died Saturday April 6, 2019 at Mercer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bluefield. Born October 31, 1931 in Max Meadows, VA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Mabry and Mary Mabry. Mrs. Taylor was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Gary High School. She was a homemaker and loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Iverson F. Taylor; two brothers, William and Jim Mabry; and two sisters, Edna Basham and Dorothy Mabry. Survivors include her children, Richard “Rick” Taylor of Longs, SC and James “Jim” Taylor of Bluefield; sisters, Shirl Adkins of Gary, WV and Mary Lou Rose of SC and formerly of Bluefield; five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
