James G. Hendley age 76 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, April 7, 2019, at his residence in Paris, TN. He retired as the supervisor of maintenance for United Airlines in Los Angeles, CA, after a 37-year career. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW. James was very proud of being a veteran and he loved to volunteer his time assisting veterans in obtaining their benefits. He enjoyed fishing and formerly enjoyed racing drag cars. James was born December 28, 1942, in Pacolet Mills, SC, to the late James H. Hendley and the late Janice Garland Hendley. He was married in November 2001 to Connie Jean Hemphill Hendley, who survives, of Paris, TN. Along with his wife, he is also survived by six children, Stacey (Jason) Trimble of Stephenville, TX, Michelle Conway of Los Angeles, CA, Danielle (Jason) Weichel of Paris, TN, Jennifer (Jason) Adams of Los Angeles, CA, Meredith (Jon) Klobucnik of Texas, and Jesse (Jeanie) Hendley of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, William (Anne) Hendley of Melbourne, FL; and 18 grandchildren. Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242. Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2019, from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 15, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads in Wildersville, TN, with Brian Wimberley officiating. Family & friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow the graveside service in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
