James E. Duxstad, 96, of Beloit, WI, died on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Fair Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, South Beloit, IL. He was born on June 6, 1922 in Clinton, WI, the son of Joseph and Millie (Anderson) Duxstad. James was a graduate of Clinton High School. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force from 1943 until 1945. James married Marian Clippert in 1942. She predeceased him in 1972. James was employed by Firestone Tires as a mechanic. He was a very energetic person, always on the go, a devoted family man and lived for his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter, Margie Retzlaff of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Kelly Flora of Beloit, WI, and Patrick (Annette) Retzlaff of Rockton, IL; great grandchildren, Dylan Flora and Skylar Retzlaff. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Jean Lyons. Per James wished there will be no services. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
