James “Jim” Allen Townsend, age 79, transitioned to heaven Monday, April 29, 2019. Born in Hickory, NC, he was the son of the late James Calvin and Violet Smith Townsend and was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Jane Euliss Townsend.
