Our beautiful warrior, and son, Jacob Coin Hancock was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus. He made his final journey at 3:16 p.m. on April 12, 2019 in the arms of his mother and father. Jacob was born on May 23, 2017 in Lawton. From the second he arrived in this world he had a fighting spirit and he continued that courage until his very last breath at just 23 months old. He was and is our hero, warrior, miracle, heart, and soul. Jacob was born with an insurmountable amount of medical issues. The doctors never thought Jacob would accomplish the things he did, but with each passing milestone, no matter how small, they were in awe of him. Our son’s life may have been fleeting, but the impact he made to this world in only 23 months is a miracle in itself. Jacob’s Journey touched the hearts and souls of thousands across the globe. He brought people of every race, religion, culture and opposition together as one in faith, hope, and love. For us, his family, he gave us the gifts of patience, light, love, hope, and so much joy! His big sister Kaylee could make him laugh all the time and his laughter and smiles melted our hearts each and every day. He loved the feel of his daddy’s beard, his sisters pokes and trumpet playing, his nana’s special song, his granddaddy’s kisses, and his mommy’s songs and snuggles. The things that made him happy were the feel of vibration, the colorful stars and moons above his crib, Paw Patrol, the Bear in the Big Blue House, and the GiggleBellies. He was the happiest baby, even in the most difficult times. His doctors and nurses could not help but to fall in love with him. We cherished every single second we had with him and he will always be a part of us. This is not the outcome we had foreseen and hoped for, but we know he is safely in the arms of Jesus and the many loved ones who have gone before us. Until the day he can be in our arms once more and for eternity we will keep his memory alive, and try to be at least half as strong as he was. I will love you forever, I will like you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be. Jacob is survived by his parents of the home Matthew and Jennifer Hancock, sister, Kaylee Hancock, maternal grandparents, Cynthia Davis and Charles Craig Downing of Lawton, paternal grandmother, Annette Hancock Kadelski of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, two uncles, James Downing and wife Kimberly of Dallas, Texas and Rob Forester and wife Amy of Charlotte, North Carolina and many other cousins, family members and loved ones. Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Kadelski, biological grandfather, William Hancock, great grandmother, Mary Joyce Hill, great grandfather, Either Coin Hill and one aunt, Tracy Kadelski.
