Hector Herbert Manzano 1938 2019

Obituary for Hector Herbert Manzano Hector Herbert Manzano, at 80 years of age, as he would say it, went on to see his Maker, and passed on from this life to the eternal next, Monday morning, April 22, 2019., at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. And so appropriately on the Easter weekend of our resurrected Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST. He was born in Manhattan, N.Y. on September 18, 1938 to the late Frank and Mary Manzano, and was the youngest of 10 siblings. Hector attended Bronx Vocational High School and upon graduating, he proudly enlisted to serve his country with the United States Army and was stationed in Korea shortly after the war. Upon his honorable discharge he secured employment with and retired as a supervisor from, the United States Postal Service. He was also a man of deep Faith and attended Church regularly, singing in the choir, and often seizing upon opportunities to help his fellow man. He was also a Hospice volunteer and served in short term missions. He loved to play Pinochle, Dominoes, and was a shark on the pool table. He was very much loved by many and will be deeply missed by family and friends alike. Hector was preceded in death by siblings: Marion Hall, Ida Manzano, Frankie Manzano, Edward Manzano, Gilbert Manzano, Evelyn Daniello, and Beatrice Anaya, nephews and nieces , Russell Hall Jr., Wayne Anaya, and Anjanette Manzano. Hector is survived by son, Gilberto (Jayson) Manzano, sister, Diana Hallinan, brother, James Manzano (Lydia), nieces and nephews: Diana Kimmons, James Hall, Jofran Lopez, Frankie Manzano Jr., Stephani McDonald, Tina Harden, Edward Manzano Jr., Allan Manzano, Richard Manzano, AnaMaria Manzano, Nancy Woodcock, Rocco Daniello, Daniel Daniello, James Manzano Jr., Mark Manzano, and numerous grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Monday April 29th, 2019. Visitation will be at 10:00am, Service 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Lady Lake Dr. Paul Harsh officiating, 432 Co Rd 466, Lady Lake, FL. The procession will depart First Baptist Church at approximately 12:30pm for Bushnell Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL, where Hector will be buried with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to First Baptist Church of Lady Lake (Memo) In Loving Memory of Hector Manzano add: 432 Co Rd 466, Lady Lake, Fl. 32159. And all donations will go to Hector’s charity of choice: Hogar Bueno Amanacer Girls Orphanage Bogota, Colombia where he’s sponsored trafficked and abused little girls. Thank You & GOD Bless.
