George’s Obituary In Loving Memory of George H. Docherty, Jr., April 12th, 2019. A man that was truly loved and cherished by his many friends. He joins his wife of more than 50 blissful years, Judy, in eternal peace. An amazing, devoted and loving father of Kathleen Docherty. Dear grandfather of Alexandria Docherty. And his beloved Niki. George was a man of many facets. He spent over 45 years as a designer and engineer for Ford Motor Company. He Loved life and the excitement of watching a riveting Detroit Tiger’s game on TV, or more preferred, at Comerica Park. George was more than a handyman with the impressive talent and skill sets to make any home an impressive showcase. He was an honorable veteran of the U.S. military and served during Korean war. His time in the service gave him the opportunity to travel to many far away destinations like France and Germany. George was admired by all and will be missed greatly by so many. In honor of George’s remembrance, a memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, April 28th at 12 noon at his favorite location (8820 Pelham Rd, Taylor) with all of his friends.
