Gary Sitler, age 74, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at his Mt. Pleasant home where he resided his entire life. He was born on Friday, March 23, 1945 in the same home where he died, the son of the late Glenn and Belva (Reich) Sitler. Gary graduated from the Central Columbia High School in 1963. He was a member of Central Columbia Football and Wrestling teams. On April 4, 1964, he married his loving wife, Kathleen (Liddick) Sitler. For over 28 years, Gary was employed by Milco Industries as a Supervisor until his retirement in 1991. Gary drove school van for Derr Transportation for over 20 years, until his health required him to retire. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Twp. Planning Commission, Mt. Pleasant Township Election Board, and the Mt. Pleasant Township Road Name Committee. Gary enjoyed spending his time doing yard work, especially in his hosta patch, traveling to New England, especially Cape Cod. He traveled to Lancaster at least once a month and enjoyed wine trips with the “Notorious Six”. In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded by a sister, Janet Graves. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Kathleen Sitler , two sons, Brian Sitler and wife Laura and David “Zeb” Sitler and fiance, Mary McDonald both of Bloomsburg, six grandchildren, Breanna, Brandon, Cody, Amber, Devin, Allison and two great grandchildren, Ivy Pearl and Kaiden and a sister, Joann Graves of Bloomsburg.
