A private family gathering with committal will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Minot. Arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Drake. Gary LeRoy Ganske, son of Willis ‘Bud’ and Leona (Bloom) Ganske, was born December 22, 1935 on a farm south of Anamoose. He grew up in the Drake area and attended the Drake Public School, graduating in 1954. He then entered the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge in August of 1956, Gary began working for Great Northern Railway and continued until retiring in 1993. He was married to Alice Christopherson in 1964 and they made their home in Minot. Gary is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alice; his children, Dale (Debra) Ganske of Minot, Lori (Steve) Holtz of Manitowoc, WI, Robert (Marie) Stevenson of Moorhead, MN and Bruce (Martha) Stevenson of Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchild; and 1 brother, George Ganske of Missouri.
