Gary Dale Rose of Bristol, TN passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. Along with his mother, Georgia Hardin he was predeceased by his sister, Donna Hardin and brother, Rick Hardin. Gary was a site coordinator for East Tennessee State University for 16 years and was with the Sullivan County EMS for 21 years. He was a very active local historian for our area. He is survived by his wife, Debra Rose of Bristol, TN; son, Wayne Rose, and his wife, Silvie of Bristol, VA; step-daughter, Katherine Moore of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Caleb and McKenzie Rose and Tynan Moore-Calloway; nephew, Bobby Hardin A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday, April 22, 2019 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.
