Freddie Hughe Smith, age 72, of Milledgeville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019. A native of Milledgeville, he was born November 28, 1946 to the late Fred Smith and the late Faye Murphey Smith. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Smith, and by a brother, Bo Perdue. Freddie lived in Albany for a number of years before returning home to Milledgeville. He Retired as a Logistic Coordinator for Southern Ag Carriers. Freddie is survived by: 2 Daughters, Terresa Smith of Milledgeville and Shelia Cantrell of Huntsville, AL ; 2 Sons, Robert Joseph “Joey” Smith of Milledgeville and Fredrick Smith of Milledgeville ; A Step-Daughter, Christina Morrison ; Grandchildren, 11 Grandchildren, Odin Smith, Tristan Smith, Sophia Smith, Marcus Devaney, Michael Glenn Purvis, Olivia Backan, Sapphire Smith, Tristan Smith, Aleczander Prescott, Alayna Smith, Kyra Smith ; and 4 Great Grandchildren. Services for Freddie Hughe Smith will be Private. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
