Earnest “Ernie”‘s Obituary Earnest “Ernie” Lee Wolverton, 54, passed away on March 29, 2019 in Plano, Texas. Ernie was born in Wylie, Texas on June 24, 1964 to parents, William Robert and Myrtle Ruth Carroll Wolverton. Ernie’s father had proceeded him in death. Ernie was a exceptional son, father, brother and friend. Surviving Ernie are wife, Debbie Ann Whitsell, mother, Myrtle Ruth Wolverton; children, Jessica Ellis Gober and husband John, Kari Nicole McIntosh, Jake Ray Toumbs and wife Crystal, Ellee Wolverton and Misty McGuire; brothers, William Dale Wolverton and wife Misty and Andrew Neal Wolverton; sisters, Delia Frances Cornett, Juanita Faye Barbro and husband Ralph, Loretta Maye Cox and husband Michael, Barbara Lee McGowan, Angela Denise Gay and husband Gene, Lisa Doreen Wolverton and Linda Marie Vincze and husband Michael. Ernie is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 nieces and nephews, 32 great nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 PM at Allen Funeral Home. Ernie’s funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. A. L. Draper will officiate.
